As you browse the Site, and only once you have consented, audience measurement cookies record your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit and the site you arrived from.
2.3, What we do not collect
We collect no sensitive data (health, opinions, origin) and we store no payment card details: payments are handled directly by our provider, and card numbers never pass through our servers.
3. Why we use it
- Processing and delivering your orders, legal basis: performance of the contract.
- Answering your enquiries and managing the customer relationship, legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Sending you our news, legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Measuring Site traffic and showing you our posts on social media, legal basis: your consent.
- Meeting our accounting and tax obligations, legal basis: legal obligation.
- Keeping the Site secure and preventing fraud, legal basis: legitimate interest.
4. Cookies and trackers
4.1, Principle
No advertising or audience measurement tracker is set before you accept it. A banner is shown on your first visit ; declining is as simple as accepting and in no way restricts access to the Site.
4.2, Categories
- Strictly necessary (basket, remembering your cookie choice): exempt from consent, used only to make the Site work.
- Audience measurement and advertising: the Meta pixel (Facebook, Instagram) and Google Analytics 4. They tell us which pages interest our visitors and allow us to show you our posts on those networks after your visit (retargeting).
4.3, Retention
Your choice is stored in your browser for 6 months, in line with the guidance of the French data protection authority (CNIL). Audiences built from the pixels are kept for a maximum of 180 days by the platforms concerned.
4.4, Changing your mind
You can change your decision at any time: manage my cookies. You can also set your browser to block cookies, or delete them in its settings.
5. Who has access to your data
Your data is never sold, rented or traded. It is accessible to NATURÔDOG and, strictly as needed for their task, to the following providers:
- Snipcart Inc. (Quebec, Canada), cart, checkout and order management.
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Dublin, Ireland), payment collection. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and never pass through our servers.
- Site hosting provider: OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, hosting of the Site's pages, data stored within the European Union.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Facebook, Instagram), audience measurement and advertising, through the Meta pixel, only if you have consented. Declining has no effect on your access to the site.
- Google Ireland Ltd, audience measurement of the Site through Google Analytics 4, only if you have consented. Declining has no effect on your access to the site.
- Carriers: La Poste, Colissimo and Chronopost SAS, to deliver your orders (name, address, email and phone number are passed to them for delivery purposes only).
- Email and mailing service provider: OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, routing and hosting of our emails, servers located within the European Union.
- OpenStreetMap France (French non-profit association), base map for the partner map. Map tiles are only loaded after your explicit agreement: until you give it, no request is sent to that service. Once the map is displayed, your IP address is passed to it, solely to serve the base map images. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage) and can be reversed by clearing the site data.
Your data may also be disclosed to an administrative or judicial authority where the law requires it.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Snipcart is established in Canada, a country recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection. Other providers (notably Meta) may transfer data to the United States. Such transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
7. How long we keep it
- Prospects and contact enquiries: 3 years from the last exchange.
- Customers: for the duration of the commercial relationship, then 3 years for marketing purposes.
- Accounting records and invoices: 10 years, as required by the French Commercial Code.
- News sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: 13 months maximum ; your consent choice, 6 months.
8. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law, you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw your consent at any time, and give instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@naturodog.com. You will receive a reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested in case of reasonable doubt.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, France, www.cnil.fr, or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
9. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access and disclosure. As no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, we cannot promise absolute security.
10. Minors
The Site and our products are not intended for children under 15. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us information, please write to us and it will be deleted.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page. If a change is substantial, we will make it visible on the Site.
This policy is a working template and does not constitute legal advice. Before the shop goes live, have it reviewed by a legal professional, in particular the retention periods, the list of processors and the transfers outside the European Union.
