What we hold ourselves to, when nothing obliges us.
A framework the law does not impose on us
Our formulas are assessed under the European cosmetics regulation, the one that governs products intended for human beings. Cosmetics for animals are exempt from it. We hold to it because it is the only serious guarantee of a formula's quality, and because that level of rigour also protects the people who apply the treatment, the groomer as much as the owner.
Tested on human volunteers, never on animals
Not one of our formulas has been applied to an animal to establish its tolerance. Assessment is carried out on consenting adults, following the protocols used in human cosmetics.
A canine care brand testing on dogs would contradict itself. We took the opposite path : what touches your companion's skin was first carried by our own.
What we owe your companion
A product placed upon skin commits the one who created it. This is why every NATURÔDOG formula carries the approval of a cosmetic safety expert. The same scrutiny, the same excellence, the same refinement as a product intended for human skin. A standard nothing imposed upon us, save the idea we hold of what care should be.
What our products are
NATURÔDOG treatments are cosmetic products for the hygiene, comfort and beauty of the coat and skin. They are not veterinary medicines.

How it is made
The formulas were developed with an independent laboratory based in Alsace. A research house founded in 2006, specialising in the valorisation of plant actives, working from the plant to the finished product: phytochemical characterisation, bespoke formulation, regulatory dossier, manufacture and filling of the batches.
Seven months of development for the first two formulas. Several versions before the one that was kept.
What we refuse
A treatment whose expected effect would not be there. A formula that would put the animal, or the person applying it, at the slightest risk.
The oxygen treatment remains reserved for partner salons, and that is not a way of manufacturing scarcity. It is that it calls for a working space, a machine and a trained eye. The groomer sees the coat, chooses the suitable concentrate, and fits the gesture into a grooming session they have mastered. None of that travels into a private home.
We would rather have one treatment done well than a treatment everywhere.

Animal wellbeing
Gentle formulas, free from synthetic fragrance, respectful of his skin's pH and his sense of smell. A gesture that follows his pace.
